BROOKLYN, NY, – The National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) today announced the addition of the King-Devick Test in association with Mayo Clinic (K-D Test) to their rinkside protocols to aid in the examination of possible concussions sustained by players.
In a statement, the league noted: “The NWHL is committed to continuing to further develop its medical policies and preventative resources for its players. As a reflection of that commitment, the League has implemented K-D testing into our protocols this season.”
The NWHL joins the ranks of other professional worldwide sporting organizations utilizing K-D Test such as: National Hockey League, Canadian Football League, Major League Lacrosse, Rugby Football Union, England Cricket and more.
